German collector Nick Bolton notes: One of my favourites, because the quality of the photographs is so good. What is surprising is the large number of non-German stars in the set - around half the cards, which was very unusual at this relatively late date in Nazi Germany.
Date info: Nick Bolton says "The Koberich catalogue suggests 1934, but I think it’s later due to the card of Frances Farmer, who did not make her first feature until 1936, and because there are six cards of little-known Eleanore Whitney, whose career only lasted from 1936-38, before she got married in 1939 and retired from acting." I agree with Nick's reasoning. I'm placing a date of 1936, though it is quite possible this set may have been issued a year or two later.
