Notes: These unnumbered, sepia-tinted cards are difficult to identify, because no company is mentioned on them, and backs are blank. Only the actress Ossi Oswalda with a facsimile signature can be found. However, the cards were also issued as postcards, and on the back can be found the tobacco company Lypstadt, which existed from 1922-1927 before being dissolved. Upon careful examination, the company logo with an "L" inside it can be found on a couple of the cards. They even named a cigarette brand after her "Die neue 5 pfg. Cigarette Ossi Oswalda".

The same cards can be found in two different sizes, and to date 11 different cards have been seen.

Ossi Oswalda was a huge star in Germany during the silent era and was hailed as the German Mary Pickford. She made only 2 talkies before being forced to leave Germany after 1933 and died forgotten and penniless in 1947.
