Notes: Postcard format. Initially 80 sepia cards (Series I) numbered 1-80 were issued, along with a cord-bound album and 10 pages. 4 cards could be slotted-in on each side of the page, with slots numbered. The first series consists mainly of German stars. Then a second series of 60 green-toned cards (Series II, numbered 81-140) was issued, this time with a mix of German and Hollywood stars. By sending in 30 cards, the additional pages needed for these extra 60 cards could be ordered directly from the company, or 80 cards could be sent in for the entire album. There was also a table of contents, listing all 140 cards, along with the announcement of a "Serie III", which was "in Vorbereitung" ("being prepared"). This third series was never issued, so the album is complete with 140 cards. Because it was relatively difficult to get hold of the extra pages, most albums that turn up tend to only contain the first 80 cards. Complete albums are very rare. A note on the date: Album was announced in 1932, but cards were available well into the following year, with some bearing a purple date-stamp for 1933 on the back.

Although strictly speaking these are postcards, they fit the prerequisites for cards: Cards are numbered, specific albums were issued, and there's a list of contents along with allotted space for cards on album pages. By the way, watch out for number 97 "Baguette Sequins" for what is one of the funniest labelling errors in card history (see scan of card and explanation below).
