Notes: Issued at the same time as the other "Department Stores etc." series "Serienbilder aus Film und Sport", here in 13 series (A-M) of 10 cards and no album. Each series dealt with a single film from the years 1931 or 1932. Cards were issued by the two department stores Schiff and Tietz (or "Herz-Tietz"). Note: One year later in 1933, the Nazis confiscated Tietz from the Jewish owners, and the store was renamed "Hertie" (after Hermann Tietz). It went on to become one of Germany's largest and most successful chain of department stores, before being sold and renamed in 1994.

Up to now, no cards have been seen from series H and I, although H is mentioned on the back of a few cards. According to backs, 20 new cards (2 series x 10) were issued each month.
