Notes: In a 1956 Exhibit advertising flyer, Exhibit called this set Popular Cowgirls, and indicated there were 32 cards in the set. Front of 1956 Exhibit advertising flyer. Back of 1956 Exhibit flyer. It is possible that this set was sold for multiple years, with some possible changes over the years.
These cards can be identified by the following characteristics:
- They have a blue tone.
- They have a greeting on one line followed by the star's name on the next line, both in script.
- In the bottom right corner of the card, it says "Made in U.S.A." (no dash in front of "Made")
Date info: This set was being sold by Exhibit in 1956, as a flyer from that year has the set listed. But some of the actresses in the set had stopped acting long before 1956, including Teddi Sherman (last picture was in 1943), Reno Browne (pretty much finished by 1950), Vivian Austin (last picture in 1947 because of health problems), Kay Buckley (really was only in films in 1950 and 1951), and Jacqueline White (pretty much finished by 1952). Exhibit needed 32 cards featuring cowgirls, so they probably went back in time to fill in some of the needed cards for this set. If Kay Buckley was in this set from the beginning, the set was probably started no earlier than 1951.
