Notes: The 1935 Dixie lid set was unusual because there are 29 different movie stars instead of the usual 24. This was because 5 of the movie stars were replaced during the issue.
The 5 replaced lids were Fred Astaire, Joe E. Brown, Kay Francis, Ruby Keeler, and Loretta Young. Astaire didn't want his picture used in the Dixie Lid promotion. Brown, Francis, and Keeler were all at Warner Brothers, and Jack Warner of the Warner Brothers didn't get along with the Dixie Company, so Warner Brothers stars were generally not pictured on Dixie Lids. The 5 new lids that replaced the withdrawn lids were Buster Crabbe, William Boyd, Buck Jones, Tom Mix, and Barbara Stanwyck.
