Notes: Blank-backed, no company name listed. This is an anonymous set without numbering. I gave it the name "Dutch Unnumbered Studio Set 2" because the cards all show the star's movie studio logo in the picture. These cards also show a copy of the star's autograph. The only exception is the Jane Powell card which has her name on the chair in which she is sitting. This set is known as Autografbilder in Sweden and The Netherlands.

This set was also issued by Kellogg's in some of their cereal boxes in Sweden at the same time the blank back cards were released. The Kellogg's cards had Kellogg's advertising on the backs.

Mikael Hoffsten reports that a 1996 Swedish movie called "Lilla Jönssonligan och Cornflakeskuppen" used this card set as a central theme in the movie. There is a series of Jönssonligan movies in Sweden, starting in 1981 and continuing to the present with the most recent one released in 2004. These movies are about a gang of good thieves. Most of the movies are about the gang as adults, but this film shows them when they were kids. The movie is set in the 1950s. In the movie, everybody is collecting these cards and the Jönssonligan gang has a plan to break into the factory and steal a lot of cards. In the movie, the Errol Flynn card is a rare card, though I don't believe it is a rare card in reality. One of the gang members wants to get the Errol Flynn card to give to a girl he likes. The leader of the gang, Charles-Ingvar Jönsson, is a genius and he has a very complicated plan to get the cards. Of course they succeed. There were two more movies made about the gang as kids, then the actors become too old. Mikael Hoffsten says that he has seen the movie and that a friend of his sold the cards used in the movie to the movie company that made the film.

Date info: Mike Davies sent me a scan of a card showing a date of November 1956 rubber stamped onto the back. It is likely that is the year when these cards began being issued though that is not conclusive evidence.

Thanks to Mikael Hoffsten and Mike Davies for help with this set.
