This set can be found with three different cigarette ads on the back. These are "Officer's Mess Cigarettes" (African Tobacco Co.), There is always satisfaction in a Guernsey made Cigarette" (Bucktrout), and "Indo Egyptian Cigarette Company, Cheribon." OMBI stands for Officers Mess, Bucktrout, Indo Egyptian Cigarette Company.

It looks like the checklist for the Indo Egyptian set is a bit different from the others. Steve Schloeder reports that #34 shows Roscoe Fatty Arbuckle instead of Nigel Barrie.

The photos from this set were taken from xerox copies, so the actual coloring of these cards will look different from the scans. These cards are sepia color.

Date info: The Roscoe Fatty Arbuckle card in the Indo Egyptian Film Stars (OMBI) set is important when trying to figure out the date of this set and related OMBI sets. A scandal embroiled Arbuckle in September 1921, and he seldom appeared on cards after that date. The OMBI sets contain mostly identical checklists, but the Indo Egyptian version contains Arbuckle as #34, while the others show Nigel Barrie as #34. The likely reason for this is that the Indo Egyptian set was probably released first, and when the others were released, they were changed to remove Arbuckle. This indicates that the Indo Egyptian set was probably released in 1921, and the others were probably released later in 1921 or in 1922.

There is a second series of this set with different cards, also issued with "Officer's Mess Cigarettes" (African Tobacco Co.), There is always satisfaction in a Guernsey made Cigarette" (Bucktrout), and "Indo Egyptian Cigarette Company, Cheribon." In addition, the second series set was also issued with "Flor Islena" cigarettes in the Canary Islands. The second series was likely issued in 1922, as that is the only year Lois Sturt has any movies listed in the IMDb and would be a likely year for the second series, as the first series was likely issued in 1921.

Thanks to Bob Richardson for providing the information to start this checklist and to Steve Schloeder for additional checklist help.
