Notes: Checklist Incomplete. Ekstra Bladet is a Danish tabloid newspaper. This set consists of movie stars, music stars, and athletes. This set was apparently used as part of a prize contest, where a collector could turn in groups of cards or a daily winner card for money prizes. Because of this, there are almost certainly short-printed cards in this set.
On the backs of the cards, there is a checklist of three groups of 12 cards. If you were to collect all 12 cards in a particular group, you could turn them in for a money prize of 100 kroner, 50 kroner, or 25 kroner, depending on which complete group you had. There was also a big money prize of 15,000 kroner that could be won. There was also another way to win, if the card you had was the star image in today's issue of Ekstra Bladet you would win 50 kroner.
There were at least four groups of 36 cards in this set.
The checklist for this set is not as straightforward as it seems at first glance. Although there are 36 names listed on the backs of each of these groups, there are additional cards that were issued that are not listed on the checklists.
While it can be assumed that cards of each group of 36 names listed on the backs of each group were issued, the checklist below shows only those cards actually seen, as additional cards were issued and some of the issued cards were probably short printed so that their current existence may be very minimal.
