Notes: This set shows Walt Disney cartoons and some of the cartoons include cartoon drawings of movie stars. The text on the backs indicate that the cards were given away with cheese, cigarettes, and candy. The backs mention prizes that were given away for complete sets of 100, including gold watches, bicycles, motorcycles, car radios, and travel vacations. There is also an offer of a beautiful hardcover Walt Disney book for those who send in 100 cards. There was an album given away with this set.
Because of the prize offers associated with this set, there were short printed cards to make redeeming the prizes more difficult. Card #41 with Greta Garbo and Mickey Mouse appears to be the most difficult card in the set, though there are other short printed cards as well.
Date info: One of the prizes on the backs was a trip to Paris for the World Expo in 1937, indicating that this set was issued in 1937 or earlier.
