Notes: Blank-backed. Unnumbered. There is no company name on the cards in this set, but it was issued by Barratt.
Note that this set was previously listed in the Anonymous section, but was moved to the A-B section when Richard Minns informed me it was a Barratt issue, and that is confirmed by the British Trade Index.
Two series of cards were issued, both with fronts in sepia with a thick script. One a series of 40 cards, the other at least 36 cards. British Trade Reference HB-44 and HB-45.
Some subjects appear in both series so further identifications are needed. Two subjects have been seen which do not appear in the handbook (Norma Shearer & Franchot Tone) and are likely to belong to the set of 36. It is likely that both are series of 40 cards with a further two subjects left to find.
