Stani Chicle had an arrangement with Topps to produce Topps bubble gum and cards in Argentina. As part of this arrangement, Stani produced a set named Aviones - a copy of Topps Planes series 2. So this set has 60 cards. The interesting part is all but one of the cards are exactly in the same order as Topps Series 2. I.E. Stani #1 = Topps #61, Stani #2 = Topps #62, etc. The one card that does not follow the pattern is Stani #5. If the pattern held, it should be the same as Topps #65. However, it is actually = Topps #9!. This kind of supports the theory that Topps Series #1 did not contain #9, but did have #65 and Topps Series 2 did not have #65, but did have #9. |
