2 1/2 by 3 1/16 inches
64 mm by 78 mm (die-cut)
Series of 11 (?) cards

These were interesting tobacco novelties, die-cut to shapes of animals and other characters.
The title comes from the inside text which states .Jumping Novelties.
along with directions on how to make the animals jump:
Turn inside out . completely reverse . lay flat down on table,
Raise Finger Gently . and see me jump
. The advertisement stated: SEE 'EM JUMP
Get the full series, many different "Jumping Novelties" now
being packed with Egyptian Oasis Cigarettes 10 for 5 cents.

The card is actually two pieces, joined at the top with tape.
The fronts of each piece are identical reversed color pictures
while the inside text is in blue ink. There are no captions.
The titles below are descriptions of the known subjects.

There is no mention on the cards as to how many are in the series
or any indication of the date of issue. Based on the factory number it may
have been a little later in the tobacco card era (circa 1914-1917).

These jumping novelties are very scarce (Burdick had
only one subject on hand, the goat) and prices vary widely
on the infrequent occasions an example will reach the marketplace.
