The tins were produced in Germany for the American market. P. Lorillard Co.
was the tobacco manufacturer that distributed the tins as part of a
coupon redemption offer circa 1912-13. One could obtain one miniature tin
for the return of 10 coupons found in packages of Zubelda, Calumet, Murad
and possibly other cigarette brands.
