The comic character stamps promotion occured 1930s through 1940s.

Collectors thought the stamps were printed solely in the Sunday Comic Section. However, Jim Abdella
has posted pertinent information on the NS Board showing a source other than the newspaper.

Each stamp could be cut from a group of ten or more. These are considered
a "paper" collectible or possibly ephemera, instead of a non-sport card.
