Notes: Unknown if checklist is complete or not. Blank backed. Some of these contain red writing on the front or back that looks like it was done with a typewriter. From seeing additional cards, it looks like those red typewriter cards are just that - cards that were typed on with a red typewriter. The cards were almost certainly issued without the red typewriter text. Based on the stars in the set, it looks like these were issued in the early 1950s. Amit Benyovits picked up a group of these cards. He notes that many of the cards have some staining that looks like buttered popcorn and speculates that these may have been given out at movie theatres.

Another group of these were reported by collector Justin Santoro. He reports none of his had red typewriter text. His cards do not have any "popcorn stains" on the backs, super clean. Three of his cards had yellowish backings, are what he believes to be linen backed. They have that felt or fuzzy feel to them, like how some movie posters were printed. About half of the cards, have serial numbers or marking numbers (bottom right hand corner of the portrait), that the original 8x10 photos used to have. There is a light glossy sheen to them, indicating (possibly) they were made by a professional photographer. Justin's group of cards came from Canada, which may be their origin. Justin also reports that the image on the card of actress Ann Blyth was the one they used for the 1948 Bowman movie star set.

Bernie Feldman reports that some of these cards display the name about 1/8" below the photos, so it is not known if that is a separate set or just part of this same set. These cards include Rex Allen, Gene Autry, Rod Cameron, Robert Cummings, Olivia DeHavilland, William Elliott, Arthur Franz, Monte Hale, Allan "Rocky" Lane, Fess Parker, Bob Steel. Bernie also reports that there is a Dale Roberson (sic) card with the name in somewhat larger print. For now, I'm going to include all of these as part of the same checklist.

Thanks to Amit Benyovits, Bernie Feldman, and Justin Santoro for helping with this checklist.
