Notes: Checklist incomplete. It appears that this set contains cards numbered 55-108. Though the cards are numbered, they seem to be in alphabetical order, though the last number seen is 108 which only goes up to "M" in the alphabet, so there may be some higher number cards or they may have been planned and not issued.
Date info: The Yul Brynner card looks like it is from the film "The Journey," which was released in 1959, so that is the earliest this set could have been issued. Most of the stars in the set were stars in the 1950s, though Carole Lombard died in died in 1942, and Claudette Colbert and Myrna Loy are also in the set, and they were at their peak in the 1930s and were seldom shown on current cards in the late 1950s or later. Other stars such as Veronic Lake, Hedy Lamarr, Rita Hayworth, and Betty Grable were also not often on cards in the late 1950s or later either. It is difficult to date the set as it may have been issued some time after the 1950s, as it has a bit of a feel of an all time greats set with mainly a focus on the 1950s.
